Building of peaceful and joyful family
Among his children when Daw Aye Aye Thaung served as a staff in the BSPP Party of newspaper periodicals and magazines, she married an officer of the same office. He was a poet “ Myay Chit Thu’’ who was friendly with modern art before the people did not revise it and he wrote many articles about modern art. However, he did not succeed, because only a few people could appreciate and understand modern art at the time. If Sayar Myay Chit Thu were still living, he would surely succeed as a famous poet and author. Really, he came in an era in advance.
Sayargyi U San Hlaing who enjoyed life of the commercial art, looked after not only his children, but also his grandchildren and served as sending to school and fetched back home, because of his great love for his family.
He did not like alcohol, so he could look after his family and he could render and help his assistants, with his income. Besides, he could send his colleagues and assistants to Buddha Gaya Temple. U San Hlaing was counteracted for his goodwill. He paid attention to his colleagues like his family they worked his job with and goodwill loving-kindness. Being so, his business was more successful.
When I met with his eldest daughter Daw Aye Aye Thaung (Elizabeth), she said our father enrolled us in mission school to get higher education. So we had English names. A person who has although own name, will take the English name in Mission School.
My three younger brothers have no English names because Mission School was closed to change the era.
So I respected the sight of education by Sayargyi U San Hlaing. Besides he looked after his children, and although he was so busy, he served his grandchildren to send to school and fetched back home in the evening.
I can say his love was reflected in him because he can stay with his family peacefully until now when he is 93 years old. He is an active, industrious, and doting father and grandfather.
He was watched over by his grandson Ko Myo Thaw, who is the son of his eldest daughter, respected his grandfather’s art and made art and made the art exhibition and biography of the artist’s life.
As he grew up the seed which was grown slowly without trouble, became a big tree and the branches and twigs covered the back for him as shady, his grandson who was looked after by him, watched over him. So he stays peacefully and joyfully with his family and he can do his artwork in good flow and in bliss.
