U San Hlaing values art. His mind is good. His outline drawing is very good. He drew in Yadanarmon magazine in 1983. While I met with Myanmar Traditional Researcher U Aye Myint, he said that U San Hlaing is a versatile artist and his artworks are very valuable as I looked at his style. At that time, U San Hlaing’s income was 15 kyats, 20 kyats per one look. I was familiar with him since I was an Associate Editor. Later I used the other artist’s works when I failed to go to him. Now he is drawing in Myatmingalar Maung Mae every month.

His work is outstanding in tone. He was also interested in dance and he has danced in Phyapon Yama Theatrical troupe. I was very pleased as together worked with him.

He was contained to work along with the previous person. When I asked him to draw a painting for me, he was able to draw it at ease with a smile in a moment. He is also a man of liveliness and joy.
